Canadian U16 World Champion captain Jordan Flynn

Maybe short in stature, but on the floor he was among the best performers throughout the tournament. A great leader and the captain of the new U16 World Champions, Jordan Flynn briefly described his impressions just after Canada's 6-5 overtime win in the final against Slovakia.

Standing next to me ready for an interview is the captain of the new U16 World Champions, Jordan Flynn. Jordan, how does that sound?

Amazing! It's amazing and nothing sounds so good, nothing.
How did you see today's final game? Was it pretty even?
It was really very even - a hard-fought game until the very end. I'm so proud of the boys for the way they fought and handled it throughout the tournament and now that I see the joy, it paid off and we got to the top.

What do you think was the deciding factor in the overtime?

We have been working towards this moment for the last few months. We trained every day, we ran a lot. So in overtime, we managed to move our feet until the decisive goal was scored.
As a good captain, you helped the team with two goals in the final. You must be happy about that too.
When I came here to the tournament, I promised the guys that I would do everything to help the team. I am glad that I managed to do that in the final.
